When you come to The Barber Works we will always strive to give you a great experience and 5 star service. We all have stresses of work and life, and this is the place to come and relax, get a great haircut, have a drink and switch off.
We truly believe in the positive vibe and want that to rub off on everyone. We're here to listen - and have often also been known as an unofficial counsellor to try help our customers relax and feel happier!
It's a comfortable environment for little ones too, as having 3 kids himself, Nick knows how important it is for children to feel at ease, and parents to feel welcome.
The Beauty & Barber Works Story
Nick helped his wife Joanna open her very own salon - The Beauty Works - after building a loyal clientele during her time as a mobile hairdresser. Nick's previous career was in construction so they formed the perfect team to fit out and build the dream salon Joanna always wanted.
Initially, Joanna worked solo, building her team and client base alongside raising their family. When their third child arrived, Nick decided to join forces, forming a true family business in 2018.
The pandemic brought many challenges, and like many small businesses, The Barber Works was forced to close its doors temporarily. However, Joanna and Nick's unwavering dedication remained strong, and they quickly bounced back when the green light was given to reopen.
Upon reopening, they, with their amazing team, quickly propelled the business forward. Their success led to further expansion in autumn 2021, when they acquired the neighbouring unit at The Bell Plantation to expand.
With Nick's skills, and the talented team's support, The Barber Works continues to flourish to this day.

From kids cuts to seniors and everyone inbetween, I love every aspect of my craft. I am always learning and educating myself to further my knowledge. I thrive on growing and training my team, always aiming to bring out their best. Working alongside my supportive, positive, and motivated
team, including my wonderful wife, turns each day into pleasure - it's not just a job!

My name is Josh and I am a head barber at the barber works with over five years of hands-on experience delivering clean, precise cuts and sharp styles. Known for my attention to detail and steady craftsmanship, i take extra care with every client, giving my full focus to ensure each person leaves the chair looking and feeling their best.
Outside of the barbershop, i enjoy spending time fishing and have a strong passion for cars — interests that reflect my appreciation for patience, precision, and performance in everything i do.
